Where is my paint code located?

Refer to the following paint code locator document

What is the difference between a 1k and a 2k product?

A 1k product has one component which generally will be clear coat or primer, these products are known as air dry materials which can take up to 24 hours to completely cure.

A 2k product has two components, your clear or primer and a catalyst. These products are chemically cured and can be done curing in as little as 60 minutes. These products contain isocyanides and it is strongly recommended to wear a proper respirator when using it.

Can you put paint into spray cans?

Yes, we can put most solvent based paints into a spray can.

What tip size should I use on my spray gun?

For the base and clear a 1.2mm – 1.4mm tip should be used.

For primer a 1.6mm – 2.5mm tip should be used (Note: primers can have much different solids content which is why there is a wider range of primer tips, the higher the solids the bigger the tip).

Why People Love Calgary Body Shop Supplies

    Norman W. Clark

This location services both DIY detailers as well as pros. It is run by a family who is extremely familiar with body shop supplies and related products. They were extremely helpful and offered suggestions on product and technique to myself as a sit novice. As they prepared my custom paint colour (one of the many special services they offer) I watched as they dealt with commercial shop representatives and were always courteous and patient. If you have a need for the products they sell then I highly recommend this location. 5 star service.
